Part of an ongoing series, these photographs were made on expired filmstock and processed in developer brewed from herbs grown in the allotment I tend. While the images picture the plot in different seasons, the making of these photographs represents a whole cycle of remergence, flourishing growth, harvest and decay.
Beyond the care I provide to the garden, much of the process is out of my control, depending instead on the rhythm of the season and the characteristics of the plant and the environment it grows in.  The raw materials for the production of the work are finite, limited by the availability of plant matter for harvest.
